“It’s with a big sigh of relief that my wife and I leave this review. We don’t leave reviews very often but felt that it was very appropriate in this situation. Our 22-year old son developed Pilonidal disease over the last couple of years and he was operated on in traditional fashion in December 2016. The residual effects of the surgery proved to be problematic like most are, and the wound from the surgery would not heal. This prompted our son and us to do research, which led us to the Bascom procedure and to Dr Bascom himself. From the very first contact by phone with Michele Jones (Dr. Bascom’s Pilonidal Surgery Coordinator), to everything that followed, we couldn’t have been any more satisfied. During the process of arranging the surgery, travel from out of state, lodging, etc., communication was as good as it gets, and the result of the surgery (May ’17) was as represented… fantastic! The Bascom cleft lift is an amazing solution for a horrible condition that is made even worse by doctors who don’t understand the problem. Dr Bascom gets it… with reassuring confidence and no ego. “
